HUD control interface for a flying vehicle

As a case study set around the flying vehicle of Cezeri, a brand under Baykar, I designed a driver infotainment and HUD interface focused on reducing the pilot's cognitive load while preserving full situational awareness. The interface is split into four functional zones: a center flight instrument (speed, altitude, heading) that never changes, a left-side widget shortcut rail, an expanded detail view on the right for the selected widget, and a fixed bottom bar for secondary controls like climate, media and the voice assistant. I built a voice-assistant-driven routing flow ("Hey Buğra, what's our route today?"), an automated pre-flight safety checklist (system check, HCI check, propeller test, motor start, autopilot handoff) and dedicated diagnostics screens for every component — propellers, battery, and sensors including IMU and LiDAR/radar. On the safety side, I designed a three-tier alert architecture — normal, a yellow caution state and a full-screen red critical alarm — with irreversible actions like RTL protected behind a "swipe to confirm" gesture to prevent accidental input. Manual overrides such as altitude up/down and emergency stop remain accessible at all times, even mid-autopilot.

This is a case study, not a client project carried out with Cezeri/Baykar.
