Balpeteği Preschool – Web & SEO

I designed and built the website for Özel Balpeteği Preschool, which has served the Dumlupınar neighbourhood of Pendik, Istanbul since 2015. The visual language is calm and modern: thin borders, soft shadows and generous white space, with a deliberately limited palette sampled from the logo and orange reserved for primary actions. The homepage is kept short on purpose, while the in-depth content lives on the about, curriculum, activities, team, gallery, blog, contact and pre-registration pages. When choosing the heading typeface I tested the Turkish ğ, ş, ı and İ glyphs one by one and settled on Baloo 2. Technically it is framework-free PHP 8 with a single stylesheet and vanilla JavaScript; smooth scrolling only affects the mouse wheel and respects the reduced-motion preference. For SEO and generative engine optimization (GEO), every page has its own title and description built around “preschool in Pendik”, and the schema.org @graph defines Preschool/LocalBusiness, Person, WebSite, BreadcrumbList and a 19-question FAQPage, alongside geo meta tags, hreflang, canonical URLs and a dynamic sitemap that adds blog posts automatically. I also prepared a robots.txt open to crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, an llms.txt that describes the institution in one structured file, and full-sentence FAQ answers that AI assistants can quote directly. The site also ships with a centrally managed tracking layer for GA4, Google Ads and Meta Pixel that fires a conversion event on every form submission, plus email, Telegram and WhatsApp form notifications.
